DODX Rail Car ID# 39802 Mfr/Mdl unknown, Mfd 1950. Item is located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY). Customers may preview Tuesday April 5, 2011 between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm ONLY. All customers must abide by ALL NNSY Safety and Security Regulations. Visitors must submit a signed request on company letterhead which provides the names, social security numbers, place of birth, reason for visit, date & duration of visit. This letter is to be faxed to Attn: Bob Burton @ 757-396-2922, no less than 48 hours prior to visit/screening and proper identification and an I-9 form must be provided when reporting to the pass office (B5102) on the day of visit. You can get an I-9 Form at this link: HTTP://www.formI9.com Personal Protective Equipment is required throughout the NNSY. PPE includes hard hat, safety shoes, & ear protection as needed. Point of contact is Bob Burton @ 757-396-5765. Buyer may choose to remove car by rail, lifted off rail lines onto their own equipment or cut up as scrap. If the Buyer chooses to cut as scrap, he will be responsible for securing a burn permit. He also would be liable for any damages that he may inflict on NNSY property. The buyers personnel must be qualified to perform the needed work and have crane license or forklift license etc. If a crane is used, a crane lifting plan must be submitted by the buyer and approved by NNSY prior to any weight handling. (Allow 2-3 weeks for the submittal process.) The buyer must use his own equipment. NNSY will not provide any tools or material. Any weight handling equipment used to suspend loads with rigging gear is viewed as a crane application and a lifting plan is required. Also, a work plan will be discussed with C980 POC prior to beginning work. NNSY safety requirements etc. will also be discussed during the work plan meeting. The buyer would be required to abide by all OSHA and NNSY safety precautions. Removal must be made no later than 30 calendar days from invoice date. **BUYER LOAD**
